THE SHORELINE CLASS OF ‘58 SPIRIT STILL REIGNS………….…..
WHAT A SENSATIONAL REUNION…. A great big thank you to the fantastic, devoted, and hard working committee that spent 18 months fine tuning this spectacular outcome (see complete list on committee page); to their spouses who dealt with the loss of their company for all of the meetings and work, to everyone who sponsored or donated to the cause with money or specific items that made such a difference in the outstanding end product. Also to the faculty members and administrators, and spouses who joined us and helped to make this such a special reunion – it would not have been the same without you. Also to some special individuals who were not even classmates, but volunteered and helped - Jan Robertson who keeps track of the alumni contacts and gathers and stores the donated alumni artifacts for all of the Shoreline High School classes; Leroy and Brenda Harwood (Al and Lois’s son and daughter-in-law) who did a great job with the formal pictures as you will see on the photo album page; Mark Getzendaner IV who helped his Dad (Skip) catch the fish in Alaska and handled BBQ Chef duty with his Dad to present the best salmon and halibut ever; Diana Larson (Dave Schindele’s wife) who manned the registration table for so long and left more committee members to greet, welcome and direct everyone as they came in; to Sherry Scott (Alan’s wife) and Jan Getzendaner (Skip’s wife) who helped the kitchen staff keep everything rolling so well at the BBQ, and all of those who helped to decorate, organize and clean up at each event, and to the spouses who joined in with the terrific interaction throughout the events.
The “formal” pictures are now in the “photo albums” section of the web site. We can email a copy to you in either 3072 x 2048 or 1024 x 683 pixels so you can print them in any size or as many as you would like. Just send an email to alharwood@comcast.net and let him know which size you prefer (generally depending on your computer capabilities and/or the speed of your internet connection). We are looking forward to getting the DVD we ordered through Raines Video Productions.
Please forward any reunion pictures and others from school, etc that would be of interest to our classmates. You can send them to us by email or regular mail (we will return all photos) – whichever is easiest for you. We will add what we can to the web site photo albums.
Also, keep in mind if you are cleaning out or downsizing, to send any mementos to us and we will either store them ourselves for the next reunion or get them to Jan Robertson who will store them for us in the alumni room at the Shoreline Center. KEEP WATCH ON THE WEB SITE, MORE UPDATES TO FOLLOW…..
